This course is accredited by the ETDP Seta and covers unit standards 117877 at NQF level 4 worth 3 credits. Duration: 3 days


This course is aimed at learners who need to coach others on defined work related tasks. It is expected that learners who attend this will not previously have attended formal training on the subject, hence this course will provide a solid introduction to training principles. Learners will be expected to prepare and conduct a coaching session using a given coaching plan template. These demonstrations will represent formative assessments.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to define the key concepts associated with Coaching and you will be able to:

  • Identify and analyse learner needs;
  • Prepare and review an individual development plan;
  • Provide guidance to learners;
  • Maintain records of learner needs and guidance provided;
  • Evaluate services provided;
  • Prepare for one-to-one training on the job;
  • Conduct training sessions;
  • Monitor and report on learner progress; and
  • Review training.
